Late professor S.M. Jain was born in 1927 20th October at his home place Badnawar District Dhar (MP). He did his L.M.P. and M.B.B.S. in 1951 and 1953 respectively. He completed in M.D. in 1958. He was appointed as lecturer in M.G.M. Medical College Indore (MP). He was trained at Denver U.S.A. and achieved his M.C.C.P. He was a very active member of cardiologycal society of India. He was founder member of CSI Indore Branch and president of CSI Indore Branch. He retired as professor of medicine in 1988. He died on 22nd November 2002.

Dr. Shukan Raj Jain

Dr. S. R. Jain was born on 20th August 1929 at Reveri near Pali in Rajsthan. He took primary education at Varkana & for higher education he came to Indore. He did his L.M.P. from King Edward Medical school & then joined the first batch of MBBS at M.G.M. Medical College, Indore. After completing M.D. in Medicine, he joined Dept. ofMedicine at M.Y. Hospital & worked under Dr. S.K. Mukherjee. In 1969, he went to Sweeden under W.H.O. fellowship. He took voluntary retirement after serving for many years in govt. job & started Noble Hospital in 1985. Under his expert guidance, this became an important & established hospital of the city. He was the inspiration for starting CHL Apollo Hospital, Indore. He is recipient of B.C. Roy & S.K. Mukherjee award also. Credit of starting modern medical facilities in Central India goes to him.
